Faith Connection Federal Credit Union offers all the advantages of a member-owned financial cooperative. Membership is open to anyone who belongs to a United Methodist Church or Global Methodist Church within Georgia, Florida and southern Alabama. In addition, church staff, employees of organizations affiliated with these conferences, and immediate family members of eligible individuals are also welcome to join.

Our Story
For over six decades, we at Faith Connection Federal Credit Union have built a tradition of providing trusted financial resources to empower our faith-based communities.
Our roots go back to the establishment of several Methodist credit unions:
Georgia Methodist Federal Credit Union (1960): Founded to serve the financial needs of members and families within the North and South Georgia Conferences of the United Methodist Church.
Alabama-West Florida Methodist Credit Union (1967): Established to support the clergy and employees of the Alabama-West Florida Conference.
Florida United Methodist Credit Union (1969): Formed by ministers in the Florida Conference to serve ministers, employees, and members of the United Methodist Churches within the conference.
The first chapter of our unified story began in 2005 when Georgia Methodist Federal Credit Union and Florida United Methodist Credit Union joined forces. Recognizing their shared mission and complementary service areas, the merger created a stronger financial institution for their combined membership base.
Building on this success, in 2011, Georgia Florida United Methodist Federal Credit Union merged with the Alabama-West Florida Methodist Credit Union. This unification brought together four United Methodist Conferences, solidifying our commitment to serving ministers, employees, and members across North Georgia, South Georgia, Florida, and Alabama-West Florida. As the work of the church expanded into new expressions, in 2023 our eligibility extended to the Global Methodist Church in the same geographic area.
Today, we stand as Faith Connection Federal Credit Union, a name reflecting the enduring bond between our credit union and the values of our faith-filled members. This combined strength allows us to offer an expanded range of services and convenient locations, ensuring we continue to empower your financial journey.

Frequently Asked Questions
Information we collect
First time borrowers need to complete an “Open-End Credit Plan Agreement” and a Loan Application. Both can be obtained through your on-site representative, or call the credit union and we will be happy to mail one to you. Subsequent loan requests require an update form that can be faxed, or in some instances we can take the information over the phone.
How long do I have to be a member before I can apply for a loan?
You may apply for a loan as soon as you become a member. There are no membership time requirements for loan qualifying.
How do I add/remove a joint member to/from my account?
To add a member you will need to complete a new signature card, which you and the joint member sign where indicated. To remove a joint member, all joint members of the account need to agree to the removal, or the account can be closed and remaining joint members may open a new account.
How do I change my payroll deduction?
Payroll deduction is an agreement between you and your employer. Payroll deduction change forms are available from your employer and should be filed with them. When changing deductions, remember to indicate the total amount you want deducted from your check and forwarded to the credit union.
Why should I use Direct Deposit?
• Safe – Your paycheck is protected against loss or theft.
• Worry-free – Now you can be assured that your check is deposited, even when you’re away from home.
• Saves time – You no longer have to make special trips to the credit union or stand in long lines on payday.
• Convenient – No more waiting for the mailman. Your deposits will be made for you automatically, allowing you to set your own timetable for getting cash.
How do I apply?
Our Member Service Representatives have all the necessary forms. If you wish, they will be happy to fill them in for you. All you have to do is tell them how you want your money distributed and sign your name. Faith Connection FCU will take care of everything else.
How will I be able to keep track of my money?
Your check stub from your paycheck is your permanent record. Or simply log into home banking and check your balance at any time.
Is there a charge for this service?
This service is free to all participating Faith Connection FCU members.

When visiting a Service Center or Outlet, remember:
- To have your picture ID and member account number available.
- That you can only conduct basic transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and making loan payments.
Due to the nature of a CO-OP Shared Branch network, members cannot take part in any of the following services: opening any account, applying for a loan, picking up a loan check, anything involving IRAs, or negotiating term share certificates.
